10,000 Palestinians in Gaza need medical evacuation for urgent treatment: WHO

The World Health Organization says more than 10,000 Palestinians in Gaza urgently need to be evacuated from the Strip to get lifesaving treatment. Israel is blocking their safe passage abroad, while severely limiting critical supplies getting into hospitals. Since Israel's war on the strip began in 2023, only 7,000 wounded Palestinians have been able to leave. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reports from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, Palestine. Doctor Hani Isleem is a Medical Evacuation Project Coordinator for Gaza at Doctors Without Borders (MSF). He says the change of the US administration has had a significant impact on Palestinians who need to leave to get treatment abroad.
