FARC leaders sentenced in Colombia: Eight years of reparations work for kidnappings

A court in Colombia has sentenced seven former FARC leaders to up to eight years of reparations work, for their role in thousands of kidnappings for ransom. The special court was set up under the terms of the 2016 peace deal. These are the first sentences to be handed down for individual punishments under the Special Jurisdiction for Peace.
