French PM Francois Bayrou loses confidence vote in National Assembly

After just nine months in office, French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has been toppled in a confidence vote in parliament. He called the vote as he tried to get controversial public spending cuts through the National Assembly. He's President Emmanuel Macron's second prime minister to be forced out within a year.
