Tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated as both countries continue to exchange strikes. Israel has expanded its targets in Iran, hitting the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Isfahan and a refuelling plane in Mashhad, which Israel claims is its longest-range strike to date. The death toll in Iran includes the intelligence chief of the Revolutionary Guard and two other generals. Iran’s Health Ministry says 224 people have been killed since Israel began launching attacks on the country. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned of further retaliation, accusing the United States of complicity in Israel's actions. As fears of a wider conflict grow, many Iranians support their government's stance, whilst others are leaving Tehran and stockpiling fuel. The Iranian government has announced that metro stations will remain open around the clock to serve as shelters. Despite the heightened tensions, Iran's foreign minister has expressed readiness to return to diplomacy if Israeli aggression ceases. Al Jazeera's Katia Lopez-Hodoyan reports.
