Iran has responded to Israeli attacks by launching dozens of armed drones, as sirens sounded in Amman, Jordan—an alert not heard since the first Gulf War. The Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted missiles and drones entering Jordanian airspace, and the Jordanian government has closed its airspace to protect its citizens. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned citizens to prepare for a prolonged period, declaring a state of emergency, closing schools and universities, and stating the strikes were preemptive to protect national security, with close coordination with the United States.
