Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine: UN chief urges measures to create Palestinian state

The UN secretary general is calling on world leaders to take urgent measures to create a Palestinian state. Countries have also condemned Israel's blockade on Gaza, during a UN Security Council debate on the situation in the Middle East. Aid agencies are warning Gaza is on the brink of famine, after Israel blocked food, water and medicine from entering the strip.
