Thai court says ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra must serve year in prison

Thailand's Supreme Court has ruled that billionaire former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra must serve one year in jail. It's another major blow to his powerful family, which has dominated politics in Thailand for two decades.
